A local expert will take you on a guided bat walk in hope of seeing the only true flying mammals! Bat detectors will be provided for the session to help you to join in with the bat spotting. Meeting just before sunset, you will be taken on a walk across the Vauxhall Fields and close to the River Monnow where large number of different species of bats can be found flying and feeding when the weather is good. Time permitting, we will venture into the grounds of Monmouth Cemetery to see what we can find.

You may want to bring a torch. Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather on the day. We will walk about 1.5 -2 miles, paths are mostly surfaced and level but may not be suitable for mobility impaired people.
