Moths are amazingly important pollinators, and are food for lots of other species. While there are 59 species of butterfly in the UK, there are over 2,500 different moths. They come in lots of different colours, shapes and sizes, but because they fly at night we don’t see many of them. This is an opportunity to discover more about the moths that live here. A light trap will be run overnight and the contents revealed, identified and released at the Green Spaces marquee. Drop in and see what we have found.
Please note that this activity is weather dependent in order to minimise harm to the moths.
The activity will be held in the marquee beside the Market Car Park.
